4-Aug-14: Terror attacks on Israelis' minds today

Following the terror attack via a construction vehicle this afternoon, there has been a second terror attack in Jerusalem. An IDF soldier, aged 20, was shot by a man riding a motor cycle at about 4:10 this afternoon (Monday). The attack occurred on Hanadiv Street on the edge of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Mt Scopus campus. The gunman fled, according to police, and a search is underway in the Wadi al-Joz neighbourhood of East Jerusalem. The soldier is being treated at Hadassah hospital on Mt Scopus, and is said to be in serious condition.

It's now 6:15 pm Monday evening, and there is a police alert in effect in central Tel Aviv. Walla reports that security forces are searching for a terror suspect in the Nordau/Dizengoff neighbourhood.
